Slatted Fence Panels

Slatted fence panels are a modern and stylish fencing solution, offering the perfect balance between privacy, airflow, and contemporary design. Increasingly popular in both residential and commercial gardens, they provide a clean, architectural look while remaining practical and durable.

What Are Slatted Fence Panels?

Slatted fence panels are made from evenly spaced horizontal or vertical timber slats fixed to a strong backing frame. The gaps between the slats allow light and air to pass through, making them ideal for gardens where a solid fence might feel too enclosed.

They are available in a range of timber types, sizes, and finishes, allowing them to be tailored to suit both modern and traditional outdoor spaces.

Benefits of Slatted Fence Panels

1. Modern, Contemporary Appearance

Slatted fencing instantly upgrades the look of a garden. Its clean lines and minimalist design create a high-end finish that works particularly well with modern landscaping, decking, patios, and garden buildings.

2. Maintains Privacy Without Blocking Light

Unlike solid fence panels, slatted fencing provides privacy while still allowing natural light to flow through the garden. This helps prevent dark, shaded areas and keeps outdoor spaces feeling open and welcoming.

3. Improves Airflow

The spacing between slats allows wind to pass through, reducing pressure during strong weather. This can make slatted fence panels more resilient in exposed gardens compared to solid fencing.

4. Durable and Long-Lasting

When constructed from pressure-treated timber, slatted fence panels are highly durable and resistant to rot, decay, and insect damage. With minimal maintenance, they can last for many years while retaining their appearance.

5. Versatile Design Options

Slatted fencing can be installed vertically or horizontally, stained or painted, and used as full boundary fencing or decorative screening. It’s ideal for:

  • Garden boundaries

  • Privacy screens

  • Sectioning areas within a garden

  • Backdrops for planting or seating areas

6. Enhances Property Value

High-quality fencing plays a key role in first impressions. Slatted fence panels add a premium feel to outdoor spaces, helping to improve kerb appeal and overall property value.

7. Low Maintenance

Slatted panels require only occasional treatment or staining to maintain their finish. The open design also helps prevent moisture build-up, reducing long-term maintenance compared to solid panels.

8. Customisable and Bespoke

Slatted fence panels can be made to measure, allowing for custom heights, slat spacing, and finishes. This makes them an excellent choice for gardens with specific privacy or design requirements.

Ideal for Modern Gardens

Whether used on their own or combined with decking, pergolas, or summer houses, slatted fence panels offer a stylish and functional fencing solution that complements modern outdoor living spaces.
